Two Leading Executives from Fujitsu and Compaq Join ZipLip's Board

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – July 5, 2001

ZipLip, Inc., the leading provider for the next generation of scalable J2EE messaging and collaboration software, today announced that Mikio Ohtsuki and Masaru Vic Murai have joined the company's board of advisors and directors, respectively.

During his 45 years at Fujitsu Corporation, Mr. Otsuki served in various capacities, culminating in top management roles, where he served as Executive Vice President in the early nineties. He subsequently assumed the CEO and Chairman role at Fujitsu Business Systems, until he retired from active management in 2000. He now serves in an advisory capacity. Mr. Otsuki is also the recipient of several awards from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Post, Telephone and Telegraph for distinguished technology contributions to his country.

Mr. Murai started his career in high tech 29 years ago with IBM in New York and later Japan where he subsequently joined Compaq KK in 1991 as its President and built its market position. Currently, he is the Special Advisor of General Atlantic Partners, LLC, a leading venture capitalist firm headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. Mr. Murai currently serves on the board of several companies and plays a leading role in connecting Japan's high tech sector with the established corporate community.
