ZipLip, Inc. extends successes with key wins at major financial and insurance firms against leading competitors
Secure Email and Email Archiving solutions continue to meet financial and insurance industry needs
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – January 21, 2004
ZipLip, Inc., a leading vendor of email management software, today announced key customer wins for their Enterprise Email Management Platform and compliance modules. Hibernia Bank recently implemented the ZipLip Secure Messaging Services Suite, W.R. Berkley has chosen to implement the ZipLip Unified ArchivalTM Suite, and Hancock Bank has selected to implement both the Secure Messaging and Unified Archival Suites. Customers chose ZipLip solutions over those of top vendors in archival and secure messaging because of the unified management and range of functionality offered by the ZipLip platform.
One Platform, Multiple Solutions
Ziplip's 100% Java based Email Management Platform is hardware agnostic and integrates with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino/Notes and other popular mail servers. Industry and compliance regulations change quickly and often, but ZipLip's open standards and scalable platform help "future proof" network architectures. ZipLip offers companies an email management solution that can scale with them and allow deployment of additional functionality, on a single platform, should their future business needs warrant it.
The ZipLip Secure Messaging Suite enables existing email systems to securely access and send encrypted email with ease and consistency. The suite meets security requirements for regulations including GLBA, HIPAA and California SB 1386. Users need only a standard browser, no software applets or plug-ins are required. Built on the ZipLip Email Management Platform, centralized management and flexible policies allow administrators to define corporate policies, matching security options with risks. End users can fine-tune their preferences for delivery and security methods without any retraining or new interfaces.
The ZipLip Unified Archival Suite enables management of email compliance, storage, and content. The suite satisfies email retention requirements for regulations including SEC 17a-4, NASD 3010/3110(d), HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc. It offers automated tools for compliance, sampling and hierarchical storage management with offloading to tamper-proof media like WORM media devices. In addition, Unified Archival alleviates performance drain on email servers due to storage overload through storage offloading. Offloading reduces the size of the mail store, and significantly raises email performance. Content management function is also an integral part of Unified Archival, and allows for fast and easy retrieval of offloaded messages.
