ZipLip to Showcase New Features for Email Archival Compliance at Lotusphere 2005 Product Showcase
Version 5 of ZipLip's Unified Email Archival Suite Pushes the Envelope in Email Archiving for Compliance
SANTA CLARA, CA - January 23, 2005 - ZipLip, Inc, a technology leader in email archiving for compliance, will be announcing Version 5.0 of its Unified Email Archival Suite, with enhanced features and functionality for full compliance with requirements from SEC, NASD, Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory bodies.
ZipLip is also pleased to formally announce its unique ability to empower Lotus deployments for true compliance with the toughest standards set in the U.S. The new version also enables concurrent archiving of both IBM Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange email systems on the same system, thus providing easy migration from Exchange to Lotus Notes, as well as preventing potential migrations from Lotus Notes to Exchange for archiving purposes. With deployments on IBM mainframes, ZipLip is also able to run "True Blue," namely, with IBM DB2, IBM WebSphere, Linux, and Lotus.
"This is an outstanding achievement for ZipLip," says Masha Khmartseva, Senior Analyst at The Radicati Group, Inc. "There is no other archiving vendor in the space today that can boast these capabilities."
ZipLip Unified Email Archival Suite was designed from the ground-up to respond to enterprise customer needs and requests. As a result of customer feedback, ZipLip's Unified Archival is the first product to successfully combine and integrate multiple archiving applications into one system, including email compliance, legal discovery, email storage offloading, and email knowledge management and monitoring into a single system. Enterprises no longer have to install separate systems to acquire these capabilities nor waste resources integrating disparate software.
"We are very proud of our ability to run True Blue. Our close relationship with customers and regulators has allowed us great insight into the evolution of regulations moving forward," says Kon Leong, ZipLip's President and CEO. "We are well aware that regulations that appear to only affect the financial industry today will impact almost every publicly-traded company in the near future, and we want Lotus customers to be fully prepared."
New features in ZipLip's Unified Email Archival Suite include:
- Attorney-Client Privilege Flagging and Privilege Logs, which ensure that sensitive email exchanges between employees and legal counsel will not be turned over to external auditors
- Disclaimer-Auto Exclusion, which easily prevents language used in disclaimers from being flagged should they happen to contain potentially sensitive wording such as "financial" or "secure"
- One-click Search and One-click Export, simplifying and reducing the required process times for adherence to regulatory bodies' hour-based time limits
- Improved, High Performance Pre-Review and Gateway Capture, using lexicons to stop violations before they occur, and to ensure that no email whether a blind copy, group list, or CRM-system mailing escapes
- Lexicon-based Mail Auto-Categorization, for revolutionary simplified automated categorization of emails according to topic, genre or category, example "Attorney-Client Privilege," "Partners," "Customers," etc.
- Advanced Search with Proximity and Context Sensitivity Matching, for greater granularity and refinement of searches according to use within sentences, paragraphs, and whole documents
- Quick Summary for Lexical Analysis and Compliance Analysis for Reviewers, for easy summarization of compliance review logs, frequency and occurrences
- Simultaneous Cross-Alias Searching (Email address, IM userID, Bloomberg), to prevent double, triple or quadruple searches of the same user in the corporate directory, saving time and resources in the event of an audit
