Top 5 Global Bank Expands ZL Deployment
Unified Archive Deployed to Meet Compliance Needs of Expanding Customer
San Jose, CA – November 6, 2008– ZL Technologies, Inc., the leader in email and file archiving for legal compliance, is pleased to announce that the Top 5 Global Bank has doubled its deployment of ZL’s Unified Archive to 50,000 mailboxes.
Following one of the industry’s most comprehensive comparative evaluations of archiving solutions ever performed, the bank has operated as many as four different archiving solutions before its decision to select ZL as the archiving vendor of choice.
ZL provides the bank with an archiving and retention solution for all files, emails, and attachments to meet its compliance and legal requirements. Using WORM (write once, read many) media, ZL’s Unified Archive provides ready access to data through true full-text indexing with the industry’s fastest search-retrieval times; extensive monitoring capabilities which include pre- and post-review capabilities; and advanced lifecycle management with automated document classification.
ZL also helped the bank address the issue of scalability, the most challenging obstacle in enterprise archiving. Offering true GRID-based architecture, ZL’s Unified Archive replaced its predecessor configuration of 27 servers with only 7, while significantly increasing performance and throughput. Currently, the Unified Archive holds, in a single vault, approximately half a billion documents and is still growing. In addition, ZL continues to work closely with the bank to develop additional capabilities to meet its complex requirements, such as advanced sampling methodologies while significantly reducing compliance costs.
