GRID Computing

LOWER HARDWARE, SOFTWARE AND STAFFING COSTS BY SEAMLESSLY DISTRIBUTING WORK BETWEEN MULTIPLE COMMODITY SERVERS

Globally Redundant, Integrated, and Distributed (GRID) computing from ZL Technologies is the most scalable architecture for information management through which Unified Archive® fully utilizes cloud and virtualization infrastructures. Leveraging clusters of servers, the ZL computing GRID enables commodity servers to work together as a low cost super computer. The benefit of the GRID is that it can seamlessly manage work and redundancy across an arbitrary number of servers, expanding or contracting as business tasks necessitate. Self-healing allows the sytem to remain fully functional because even if one or more servers fail, all remaining servers will continue to process, taking over any dropped tasks thereby providing comprehensive failover and high availability.

Using ZL’s GRID, organizations can efficiently manage petabytes of data for eDiscovery, compliance and records management, scaling from 100s to 100,000s of mailboxes, while managing billions of emails and files in real world deployments. The GRID is well suited for both large information management deployments and medium-sized environments with high peak loads. GRID enabled deployments also provide fundamental application-level scaling necessary to take advantage of today’s cloud and virtualized infrastructures.
